“An aspect of the education series I found particularly valuable was the topic of unconscious bias. It is natural for humans to quickly create associations but it is equally important to recognize this when we relate to one another. The conscious effort to expose what is “unexpected” but shouldn’t necessarily be. Also, it’s not always what you say but how you say it and I appreciated the warm and inviting approach Tommy Brooks took to explore this topic in the coffee chats. I love how at Bay Club, we make an active effort to see associates, members, and management for who we are and the many talents we bring to the team.
