Celebrate Culture | September 2022

We all know that the strongest teams are made up of collaborative individuals with diverse experiences, skills, and perspectives. Celebrating common interests, as well as differences, allows us to unite and fully experience one another’s authenticities. With that in mind, we want to provide a space to learn more about the cultures, languages, religions, and holidays that make the world go round!

2022 National Hispanic Heritage Month Theme:                                                                       “Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation”

First recognized in September of 1989, National Hispanic Heritage Month highlights and celebrates the many contributions, history, and diverse cultures of the American Latino community.  During the month of September, many Latin American countries also celebrate their independence.  These include Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Chile.

                  Rosh Hashanah

“L’Shanah Tovah!” (A sweet new year!)

This year, Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Sunday, September 25, and ends the evening of Tuesday, September 27. It is observed as the Jewish New Year and one of Judaism’s holiest days.

         National Recovery Month

Each September, the nation recognizes and celebrates National Recovery Month to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices for substance use disorder. This national observance was launched in 1989 by SAMSHA (the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). Click the tile above to learn different ways to honor National Recovery Month.
